Bromyard & Winslow Town Council secured funding from the Welcome Back Fund and the Great Places to Visit fund along with the other Market Towns in Herefordshire. This funding, developed by the government as part of the Covid-19 response, aims to support the high street and tourist attractions in welcoming back shoppers and visitors to the town.

The fund is being spent on public realm improvements, including new ‘wayfinding’ systems, the civic garden, branding, and marketing of the town, as well as establishing a new outdoor market in the historic Market Square.

Bromyard & Winslow Town Council won the funding in late November 2021 and established a multi-disciplinary team in January 2022 ready to compile ideas for the public consultation phase. We’re delighted with the number of respondents during this phase, which clearly shows how much people appreciate and love Bromyard. Now the consultation phase is over, we’ve reviewed the feedback and implemented some of the ideas. You can view the results and summary here.
